Al-Naze'aat 2 of 2
Are you the harder to create or the heaven? He made it. 27 On high hath He raised its canopy, and He hath given it order and perfection. 28 And He made dark the night thereof, and He brought forth the morn thereof. 29 And the earth, moreover, hath He extended (to a wide expanse); 30 And he brought forth therefrom its water, and its pasture. 31 And the mountains He set firm 32 (To be) a provision and benefit for you and your cattle. 33 But when the great predominating calamity comes; 34 on that Day man will [clearly] remember all that he has ever wrought; 35 And hell will stand forth visible to him who seeth, 36 Those who have rebelled 37 And preferred the worldly life, 38 Verily the Scorch! that shall be his resort. 39 And as for him who dreaded standing before his Lord, and restrained his soul from lust, 40 Then surely the garden-- that is the abode. 41 They question thee of the Hour: when will its arrival be? 42 What concern do you have to speak about that? 43 [seeing that] with thy Sustainer alone rests the beginning and the end [of all knowledge] thereof? 44 You are but a Herald of Warning, for one who fears it. 45 On the Day when they behold it, it will be as if they had lingered but an evening, or, a morning. 46

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
