He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The Prophet frowned and turned away 1 Because there came to him the blind man. 2 But what could tell thee but that perchance he might grow (in spiritual understanding)?- 3 (He might) remember, and the Reminder might profit him. 4 As to one who regards Himself as self-sufficient, 5 to him thou attendest 6 Yet it is not thy concern if he grow not (in grace). 7 And to him who came to you eagerly 8 And he fears, 9 From him you are distracted. 10 Nay, but verily it is an Admonishment, 11 Therefore let whoso will, keep it in remembrance. 12 (This Quran) is also recorded in honorable books, 13 Exalted, purified, 14 (Written) by the hands of scribes- 15 Honourable and obedient. 16 Perish man! how ungrateful he is! 17 Of what did He create him? 18 Of a sperm-drop He created him, and determined him, 19 and made the path of guidance easy for him to follow. 20 then makes him to die, and buries him, 21 Then, when He willed, He brought him out. (As during the night of Holy Prophet’s ascension, when all the Prophets gathered behind him in the Al Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem. Or when Allah will raise everyone on the Day of Resurrection.) 22 Not one he has not yet completed what he was commanded. 23 Let man therefore consider (the sources of) his food. 24 That We pour forth water in abundance, 25 Thereafter We cleave the earth in clefts, 26 And We made corn grow, 27 and vines, and reeds, 28 and the olive, and the palm, 29 thickly planted gardens, 30 fruits, and grass. 31 [As] enjoyment for you and your grazing livestock. 32 But when the deafening blast is sounded, 33 on that Day a man shall flee from his own brother, 34 his mother and his father, 35 And from his wife and his children. 36 Everyone on that Day will have affairs to keep him occupied. 37 Some faces that Day, will be bright (true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 38 laughing, joyous; 39 And many will be dust-begrimed, 40 Darkness shall cover them. 41 Those are the disbelievers, the wicked. 42
Almighty God's Truth.
