He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ (The Prophet) frowned and turned away, 1 Because a blind man came to him. 2 But what would make you perceive, [O Muhammad], that perhaps he might be purified 3 or receive some (Quranic) advice which would benefit him. 4 As for him who was indifferent, 5 So you are after him! 6 although it is not for you to be concerned if he remained unpurified. 7 But as for him who cometh unto thee with earnest purpose 8 and who has fear of God, 9 Of him wast thou unmindful. 10 Assuredly this is a reminder 11 and so, whoever is willing may remember Him 12 upon highly honored pages, 13 Exalted, Purified, 14 In the hands of scribes 15 and angelic scribes. 16 Accursed is man. How ungrateful is he! 17 From what did He create him? 18 From Nutfah (male and female semen drops) He created him, and then set him in due proportion; 19 Then doth He make His path smooth for him; 20 Then He caused him to die and be buried 21 Then, when He willed, He brought him out. (As during the night of Holy Prophet’s ascension, when all the Prophets gathered behind him in the Al Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem. Or when Allah will raise everyone on the Day of Resurrection.) 22 Nay, but (man) hath not done what He commanded him. 23 Let man reflect on the food he eats. 24 We poured out the rains abundantly, 25 And We split the earth in clefts, 26 how We made the grain to grow, 27 And grapes and clover, 28 And olive and palm trees 29 and dense-tree'd gardens, 30 fruits, and grass. 31 (These are made so as to be) means of enjoyment for you and your cattle. 32 But when the Shout cometh 33 On the Day a man will flee from his brother 34 And from his mother and his father, 35 And from his wife and sons. 36 Each one of them, that Day, will have enough concern (of his own) to make him indifferent to the others. 37 Some faces that Day, will be bright (true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 38 laughing, rejoicing at glad tidings. 39 And many will be dust-begrimed, 40 Blackness will cover them: 41 these, these will be the ones who denied the truth and were immersed in iniquity! 42
Almighty God's Truth.
End of Surah: He Frowned ('Abasa). Sent down in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)

ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
