He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 when the blind man approached him, 2 And what would make you know that he would purify himself, 3 Or be admonished, so that the admonition might have profited him? 4 As for him who was indifferent, 5 you attend to him, 6 Whereas it is not on thee that he is not cleansed. 7 And as to him who comes to you striving hard, 8 and who has fear of God, 9 You neglect. 10 By no means! Verily it is an admonition. 11 Let him who will, pay heed to it. 12 On honourable pages. 13 Exalted (in dignity), purified, 14 [Carried] by the hands of messenger-angels, 15 noble, pious. 16 May (the disbelieving) human being be condemned! What makes him disbelieve? 17 From what thing did He create him? 18 Of a sperm-drop He created him, and determined him, 19 Then He makes the Path easy for him; 20 then makes him to die, and buries him, 21 and He will resurrect him whenever He wants. 22 No! Man has not yet accomplished what He commanded him. 23 Let man look at his food: 24 How We poured down water in torrents, 25 Then We cracked the earth open under pressure (of germination) 26 And We cause therein the grain to grow, 27 And grapes and herbage, 28 And olives and date palms, 29 the densely tree'd gardens, 30 and fruits and herbage, 31 for you and for your animals to enjoy. 32 And when the Blast shall sound, 33 it will be such a day when a person will run away from his brother, 34 And his mother and his father 35 wife and sons, 36 Each man will have enough cares that day. 37 [Some] faces, that Day, will be bright - 38 laughing, rejoicing at glad tidings. 39 And other faces that Day will be dust-stained, 40 o'erspread with darkness -- 41 It is they, the disbelievers, the sinners. 42
Almighty God's Truth.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
