He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ HE FROWNED and turned away 1 that the blind man came to him. 2 What made you think that he will not grow in virtue, 3 Or that he may accept advice, so the advice may benefit him. 4 As for him who is not in want of any thing, 5 To him dost thou attend; 6 Though it is no blame to thee if he grow not (in spiritual understanding). 7 But as to him who came to thee striving earnestly, 8 And hath fear, 9 to him thou payest no heed. 10 These verses are a reminder 11 and whosoever wills, shall remember it. 12 upon pages high-honoured, 13 exalted and purified, 14 by the hands of scribes 15 Honourable and Virtuous. 16 Accursed be man! How stubbornly he denies the Truth. 17 From what did He create him? 18 From a drop of seed. He createth him and proportioneth him, 19 Then (as for) the way-- He has made it easy (for him) 20 then He caused him to die and brought him to the grave, 21 Then when He wills, He will resurrect him. 22 Nay; but he has not done what He bade him. 23 Then let man look at his food, (and how We provide it): 24 We poured down rain abundantly, 25 And We split the earth in fragments, 26 then caused the grain to grow out of it, 27 And grapes and clover, 28 And olive-trees and palm-trees 29 And gardens of dense shrubbery 30 And fruits and herbage: 31 as provision for you and for your cattle to enjoy. 32 So when the deafening Shout arrives, 33 on that Day a man shall flee from his own brother, 34 And his mother and his father, 35 And his wife and his sons; 36 Every man that day will have concern enough to make him heedless (of others). 37 (Many) faces on that day shall be bright, 38 Laughing, rejoicing. 39 And many will be dust-begrimed, 40 Darkness will cover them, 41 It is they, the disbelievers, the sinners. 42
God the Almighty always says the truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
