He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned (his) back, 1 Because the blind man had come in his august presence. 2 But what would make you perceive, [O Muhammad], that perhaps he might be purified 3 Or be admonished, and the admonition profit him? 4 As for him who thinketh himself independent, 5 Unto him thou attendest. 6 And you have nothing to lose if he does not become pure. 7 And as to him who comes to you striving hard, 8 And with fear (in his heart), 9 you pay him no heed. 10 Assuredly this is a reminder 11 so let those who want to follow its guidance do so. 12 It is contained in scrolls highly honoured, 13 Exalted, pure. 14 borne by the hands of scribes, 15 noble and virtuous scribes. 16 Cursed is man; how disbelieving is he. 17 Of what thing hath He created him? 18 Out of a drop of sperm He creates him, and thereupon determines his nature, 19 He makes his path easy for him. 20 Then causeth him to die, and burieth him; 21 Then, when He will, He bringeth him again to life. 22 Yet man declines to do His bidding. 23 Let the human reflect on the food he eats, 24 How We poured down water in torrents, 25 and split the earth, splitting, 26 Then We cause therein the grain to grow, 27 And grapes and herbage, 28 And olives and date-palms, 29 and dense orchards, 30 and fruits and herbage, 31 for you and for your herds to delight in. 32 But when there comes the Deafening Blast 33 on a Day when everyone will [want to] flee from his brother, 34 and from his mother and father, 35 And his wife and his sons; 36 every man that day shall have business to suffice him. 37 Some faces on that Day shall be beaming with happiness, 38 Laughing and full of joy, 39 And some faces will on that Day with dust be covered, 40 and veiled with darkness. 41 These are they who are unbelievers, the wicked. 42
True are the words of God the Almighty.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
