He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 that the blind man came to him. 2 What made you think that he will not grow in virtue, 3 or receive some (Quranic) advice which would benefit him. 4 As for him who thinketh himself independent, 5 to him didst thou give thy whole attention, 6 And you have nothing to lose if he does not become pure. 7 And he who comes to thee eagerly 8 And whereas he fears, 9 him didst thou disregard! 10 Indeed, this [Quran] is an admonition. 11 So let whosoever will pay heed to it, 12 In honored books, 13 Exalted, pure. 14 [borne] by the hands of messengers 15 Honourable and Virtuous. 16 Perish the human! How unthankful he is! 17 From what thing doth He create him? 18 Out of a sperm-drop did He create him and then determined a measure for him, 19 Then (as for) the way-- He has made it easy (for him) 20 Then He caused him to die and made him to be buried. 21 Then, when it is His Will, He will resurrect him (again). 22 But no. He has not fulfilled what was enjoined on him. 23 Let the human being think about (how We produce) his food. 24 For that We pour forth water in abundance, 25 and then We cleave the earth [with new growth,] cleaving it asunder, 26 then caused the grain to grow out of it, 27 And grapes and herbage 28 olives, dates, 29 and dense orchards, 30 And fruits and fodder,- 31 A provision for you and for your cattle. 32 So when the deafening Shout arrives, 33 On the Day whereon a man shall flee from his brother, 34 and from his mother and father, 35 And from his wife and his children. 36 Each man will have enough cares that day. 37 Some faces will shine, 38 laughing and joyful, 39 And many a face will be covered with dust on that day. 40 and overcast with gloom: 41 Those are the disbelievers, the wicked. 42
Almighty God's Truth.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
