He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ (The Prophet (Peace be upon him)) frowned and turned away, 1 from a blind man who had come up to him. 2 But what could tell thee but that perchance he might grow (in spiritual understanding)?- 3 or yet remember, and the Reminder profit him. 4 As for him who considers himself free from need (of you), 5 To him you give attention. 6 although it is not for you to be concerned if he remained unpurified. 7 As for the one who comes to you earnestly (striving for guidance). 8 And he feareth 9 Him thou neglectest! 10 No! Indeed, these verses are a reminder; 11 Let him who will, pay heed to it. 12 upon pages high-honoured, 13 Exalted (in dignity), kept pure and holy, 14 by the hands of scribes 15 Noble and righteous. 16 Perish Man! How unthankful he is! 17 Of what substance God created him? 18 Of a small seed; He created him, then He made him according to a measure, 19 and then makes it easy for him to go through life; 20 then He caused him to die and brought him to the grave, 21 Then when He pleases, He will raise him to life again. 22 Indeed, he has not fulfilled that which He has ordered him. 23 Let man look at his food: 24 We let the rain pour down in torrents 25 Then We cracked the earth open under pressure (of germination) 26 Then We cause therein the grain to grow, 27 And grapes and herbage 28 and olives, and palms, 29 And garden-closes of thick foliage 30 and fruit and pastures, 31 A provision for you and for your cattle. 32 So when the deafening Shout arrives, 33 it will be such a day when a person will run away from his brother, 34 his mother, his father, 35 And from his wife and his children. 36 every man that day shall have business to suffice him. 37 on that Day some faces will be beaming, 38 Laughing, rejoicing at good news (of Paradise). 39 And some faces will on that Day with dust be covered, 40 Veiled in darkness, 41 Such will be the Kafarah (disbelievers in Allah, in His Oneness, and in His Messenger Muhammad (Peace be upon him), etc.), the Fajarah (wicked evil doers). 42
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: He Frowned ('Abasa). Sent down in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
