He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ He frowned and turned (his) back, 1 when the blind came to him. 2 But what could tell you that per chance he might become pure (from sins)? 3 Or become reminded so that the reminder should profit him? 4 As to one who regards Himself as self-sufficient, 5 you attended to him, 6 And you have nothing to lose if he does not become pure. 7 but as for one who comes to you, eagerly 8 And is afraid (of Allah and His Punishment), 9 From him you are distracted. 10 Not this way this is the advice. 11 So whoever wills, let him pay attention to it. 12 in [the light of His] revelations blest with dignity, 13 Exalted, purified, 14 borne by the hands of scribes, 15 noble and purified. 16 Accursed be man! How stubbornly he denies the Truth. 17 From what did He create him? 18 Out of a drop of sperm! He creates and proportions him, 19 and made the path of guidance easy for him to follow. 20 and in the end He causes him to die and brings him to the grave; 21 Then when He pleases, He will bring him back to life. 22 No indeed! Man has not accomplished His bidding. 23 Let man look at his food: 24 We poured water, pouring it in great abundance, 25 Then We split the earth properly. 26 how We made the grain to grow, 27 grapes, vegetables, 28 And olive-trees and palm-trees 29 And thick gardens, 30 and fruits and pastures 31 In order to benefit you and your cattle. 32 So when the deafening Shout arrives, 33 Man will fly from his brother, 34 And his mother and his father, 35 And his spouse and his son-- 36 Everyman, that Day, will have enough to make him careless of others. 37 Many a face will be glittering on that day. 38 laughing, rejoicing at glad tidings. 39 some faces on that day shall be dusty 40 Darkness shall cover them. 41 these, these will be the ones who denied the truth and were immersed in iniquity! 42
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: He Frowned ('Abasa). Sent down in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
