He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ He frowned and turned (his) back, 1 Because there came to him the blind man, [interrupting]. 2 And what do you know, he may be of the pure! 3 Or be admonished, so that the admonition might have profited him? 4 Now he who waxes indifferent, 5 you attend to him, 6 though you will not be questioned even if he never purifies himself. 7 But as for him who cometh unto thee with earnest purpose 8 and who has fear of God, 9 From him will you divert yourself. 10 Not this way this is the advice. 11 and whosoever wills, shall remember it. 12 (It is) in Books held (greatly) in honour, 13 lofty and pure, 14 by the hands of scribes 15 Honourable and Pious and Just. 16 Perish the human! How unthankful he is! 17 Out of what did Allah create him? 18 From a sperm-drop: He hath created him, and then mouldeth him in due proportions; 19 and then made the course of life easy for him, 20 and in the end He causes him to die and brings him to the grave; 21 Then He will raise him up again when He please. 22 Nay; but he has not done what He bade him. 23 Let the human reflect on the food he eats, 24 It is We Who pour forth water, pouring, 25 then We split the earth in fissures 26 to yield therein corn, 27 and grape vines and vegetables, 28 And olives and date palms, 29 And enclosed Gardens, dense with lofty trees, 30 and fruits and herbage, 31 (To be) a provision and benefit for you and your cattle. 32 But when the Shout cometh 33 upon the day when a man shall flee from his brother, 34 his mother, his father, 35 And from his wife and his children. 36 on that Day every man among them will have enough concern of his own -- 37 Some faces on that Day shall be beaming with happiness, 38 Laughing and full of joy, 39 whereas some faces will be covered with dust 40 Darkness will cover them, 41 These will be the unbelievers, the wicked. 42
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
