Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ HE FROWNED and turned away 1 Because there came unto him a blind man. 2 And what would make you know that he would purify himself, 3 Or be admonished, so that the admonition might have profited him? 4 As for him who is not in want of any thing, 5 to him didst thou give thy whole attention, 6 Though it is not your concern if he should not grow (in fulness). 7 but as for one who comes to you, eagerly 8 And whereas he fears, 9 So you leave him, and are engrossed elsewhere! 10 Nay, (do not do like this), indeed it (these Verses of this Quran) are an admonition, 11 (and whoso wills, shall remember it) 12 On honoured leaves 13 Exalted (in dignity), purified, 14 by the hands of the noble, virtuous, 15 noble and pious. 16 Perish Man! How unthankful he is! 17 Of what substance God created him? 18 Out of a drop of sperm! He creates and proportions him, 19 and made the path of guidance easy for him to follow. 20 Then He causeth him to die, and putteth him in his grave; 21 and then, if it be His will, He shall raise him again to life, 22 Not one – he has not yet completed what he was commanded. 23 Let Man consider his nourishment. 24 How We pour water in showers 25 and split the earth, splitting, 26 And cause the grain to grow therein 27 And Grapes and nutritious plants, 28 And olive and palm trees 29 thickly planted gardens, 30 And fruits and grasses: 31 In order to benefit you and your cattle. 32 When the trumpet sounds, 33 on the Day when each man shall flee from his brother, 34 Mother and father, 35 wife and sons, 36 Each one of them, that Day, will have enough concern (of his own) to make him indifferent to the others. 37 [Some] faces, that Day, will be bright - 38 laughing, and rejoicing, 39 whereas some faces will be covered with dust 40 Blackness will cover them. 41 It is they, the disbelievers, the sinners. 42
