The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
(On the day) when the sun is made to cease shining, 1 when the stars shall be thrown down, 2 and when the mountains are made to vanish, 3 When the she-camels, ten months with young, are left untended; 4 the wild beasts are herded together, 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 And when the souls shall be joined with their bodies; 7 And when the girl buried alive shall be asked: 8 For what sin she was killed? 9 And when the pages are laid open, 10 And when the sky is torn away, 11 And when hell is lighted, 12 And when Paradise shall be brought near, 13 then every soul will discover the consequence of its deeds. 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 Moving swiftly and hiding themselves, 16 by the night swarming, 17 And the Dawn as it breathes away the darkness;- 18 Verily this is the word of a noble message-bearer; 19 The processor of strength, having an honorable place with the Lord of the Dominion, 20 Obeyed (by the angels), trustworthy there (in the heavens). 21 And your companion is not [at all] mad. 22 He certainly saw him (Gabriel) high up on the horizon in his original form 23 he is not grudging of the Unseen. 24 This is not the utterance of an accursed devil. 25 where then are you going? 26 It is not except a reminder to the worlds 27 To whomsoever among you who wills to walk straight, 28 However, you will not be able to choose anything unless God, Lord of the Universe wills it to be so. 29
