Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun is wound up; 1 when the stars shall be thrown down, 2 And when the mountains are made to pass away, 3 when the pregnant camels are neglected, 4 And when the wild beasts are herded together, 5 And when the seas rise, 6 when the souls shall be coupled, 7 And when the girl-child that was buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was killed? 9 And when the Records of Account are laid bare. 10 when heaven is stripped, 11 And when Hellfire is set ablaze 12 And when Paradise is brought near. 13 Every soul shall (then) know what it has prepared. 14 BUT NAY! I call to witness the revolving stars, 15 orbiting, disappearing; 16 by the night when it approaches 17 by the dawn sighing, 18 [That] indeed, the Qur'an is a word [conveyed by] a noble messenger 19 [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position], 20 there he is obeyed and held trustworthy. 21 And (O people) your companion (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is not a madman; 22 And indeed he saw him on the clear horizon. (Prophet Mohammed saw Angel Jibreel in his true shape – peace and blessings be upon them). 23 He is not chary of making public what is unknown. 24 And it is not the word of an accursed Satan; 25 Where then are you going? 26 This is a reminder for all the peoples of the world, 27 For whoever wills among you to take a right course. 28 And you do not please except that Allah please, the Lord of the worlds. 29
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
