The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
WHEN THE SUN is folded up, 1 And when the stars shall dart down, 2 when the mountains shall be set moving, 3 the young barren camels are abandoned, 4 When the wild beasts are herded together (in the human habitations); 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 And when the souls are paired. 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 Upon what sin was she killed for. 9 And when the Writs shall be lain open, 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped, 11 And when the Scorch shall be made to blaze, 12 And when Paradise is brought near, 13 (Then) every person will know what he has brought (of good and evil). 14 But nay! I swear by the stars, 15 That run their course (and) hide themselves, 16 And by the night as it departs; 17 The rising dawn, 18 Most surely it is the Word of an honored messenger, 19 The mighty, the honoured in the presence of the Lord of the Throne. 20 Obeyed there [in the heavens] and trustworthy. 21 And your companion is not [at all] mad. 22 Assuredly he beheld him in the horizon manifest. 23 And this Prophet is not miserly upon the hidden. (Allah gave the knowledge of the hidden to the Holy Prophet – peace and blessings be upon him.) 24 Nor is it the word of a satan accursed. 25 where then are you going? 26 Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 27 for whosoever of you who would go straight; 28 but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. 29
