The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun shall be wound round, 1 the stars are made to fade away, 2 The mountains made to move, 3 And when the pregnant she-camels shall be neglected; 4 The wild beasts stampede on the run, 5 And when the seas are set on fire, 6 When the souls are sorted out, (being joined, like with like); 7 And when the female (infant) buried alive (as the pagan Arabs used to do) shall be questioned. 8 For what sin she was killed? 9 And when the books are spread, 10 and when heaven is laid bare, 11 And when the Scorch shall be made to blaze, 12 And when Paradise is brought near. 13 [then] each soul shall know what it has put forward. 14 But nay! I swear by the stars, 15 Go straight, or hide; 16 and sit during the day, or by the darkening night 17 And the breath of morning 18 [That] indeed, the Qur'an is a word [conveyed by] a noble messenger 19 [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position], 20 Obeyed one; then trustworthy. 21 Your Companion is not mad, 22 Surely he beheld Him on the clear horizon. 23 And this Prophet is not miserly upon the hidden. (Allah gave the knowledge of the hidden to the Holy Prophet peace and blessings be upon him.) 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 So whither do you stray? 26 Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 27 For those of you who desire to walk the path that is straight, 28 However, you will not be able to choose anything unless God, Lord of the Universe wills it to be so. 29
God the Almighty always says the truth.
