The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sun Kuwwirat (wound round and lost its light and is overthrown). 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 and the mountains have been taken, 3 when the pregnant camels are neglected, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together; 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 and when all human beings are coupled [with their deeds,] 7 and when the girl-child that was buried alive is made to ask 8 For what sin she was killed? 9 And when the pages are laid open, 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped, 11 And when the Scorch shall be made to blaze, 12 And when Paradise shall be brought near, 13 A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it]. 14 I swear by the receding stars. 15 orbiting, disappearing; 16 and the night that falls, 17 And by the dawn as it brightens; 18 it is indeed the word of an Honorable Messenger, 19 Mighty, established in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 (One) to be obeyed, and trustworthy; 21 (O people of Makkah), your companion is not mad; 22 And indeed he saw him on the clear horizon. (Prophet Mohammed saw Angel Jibreel in his true shape – peace and blessings be upon them). 23 And he is of the unseen not a tenacious concealer. 24 Nor is this the word of a stoned satan. 25 Where to are you then heading? 26 Verily this is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds: 27 For the one among you who wishes to become upright. 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
