The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
When the sun shall be folded up, 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 And when the hills are moved, 3 when the pregnant camels shall be neglected, 4 when the savage beasts are gathered 5 When the oceans surge and swell, 6 when the souls are coupled (to their body), 7 and when the girl-child that was buried alive is made to ask 8 for what sin she was slain, 9 And when the pages are laid open, 10 when the sky is unveiled, 11 And when the hell is kindled up, 12 And when the Garden shall be brought nigh, 13 then, each soul shall know what it has produced. 14 I do not need to swear by the orbiting 15 Those that run [their courses] and disappear - 16 and the night that falls, 17 And by the dawn when it breathes 18 Most surely it is the Word of an honored messenger, 19 Endued with Power, with rank before the Lord of the Throne, 20 obeyed, and honest. 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 he indeed saw the message-bearer on the clear horizon; 23 he is not grudging of the Unseen. 24 And it is not the word of an accursed Satan; 25 Whither then go ye? 26 This is a reminder for all the peoples of the world, 27 to everyone of you who wills to walk a straight way. 28 but your wishing will not avail unless Allah, the Lord of the Universe, so wishes. 29
