The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
When the sun is overthrown, 1 when the stars shall be thrown down, 2 and when the mountains are moved, 3 And when the camels big with young are abandoned, 4 when the savage beasts shall be brought together, 5 the oceans are brought to a boil, 6 when the souls shall be rejoined (with their bodies), 7 And when the girl [who was] buried alive is asked 8 For what crime she was put to death; 9 And when the pages are made public 10 When the world on High is unveiled; 11 And when hell is further enflamed. 12 And when the Garden shall be brought nigh, 13 [then] each soul shall know what it has put forward. 14 So, I call the receding stars to witness, 15 And by the planets that move swiftly and hide themselves, 16 and the night that falls, 17 And the morning when it brightens, 18 it is indeed the word of an Honorable Messenger, 19 of power, given a rank by the Owner of the Throne 20 Obeyed there [in the heavens] and trustworthy. 21 For, this fellow-man of yours is not a madman: 22 And without doubt he saw him in the clear horizon. 23 and he is not one to begrudge others the knowledge [of whatever has been revealed to him] out of that which is beyond the reach of human Perception. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 Where to are you then heading? 26 It is naught but a Reminder unto all beings, 27 To whomsoever among you who wills to walk straight, 28 And what will you wish, except if Allah wills the Lord of the Creation. 29
True are the words of God the Almighty.
