The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
WHEN THE SUN is folded up, 1 And when the stars shall dart down, 2 When the mountains vanish (like a mirage); 3 when ten-month pregnant camels are left untended, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together; 5 and when the seas are set on fire, 6 when the souls are coupled (to their body), 7 And the little girl buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was killed, 9 And when the Writs shall be lain open, 10 the heavens are unveiled, 11 and when Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when the garden is brought nigh, 13 then shall a soul know what it has produced. 14 I swear by the receding stars. 15 And by the planets that move swiftly and hide themselves, 16 And the night when it departs, 17 and the first breath of morning. 18 behold, this [divine writ] is indeed the [inspired] word of a noble apostle, 19 The processor of strength, having an honorable place with the Lord of the Dominion, 20 obeyed by (all creatures) and faithful to His trust. 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 And indeed he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) saw him [Jibrael (Gabriel)] in the clear horizon (towards the east). 23 And he is not avid of the Unseen. 24 And it is not the word of an accursed Satan; 25 Whither then will you go? 26 This is certainly the guidance for all (jinn and mankind). 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
