The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun is folded up, 1 when the stars shall scatter away, 2 and when the mountains are made to vanish, 3 And when milch camels roam abandoned. 4 when the savage beasts shall be mustered, 5 the oceans are brought to a boil, 6 And when souls are united, 7 And the little girl buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was slain, 9 And when the Records of Account are laid bare. 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped off and taken away from its place; 11 hell is made to blaze, 12 And when the Garden is brought nigh, 13 (Then) every person will know what he has brought (of good and evil). 14 So verily, I swear by the planets that recede (i.e. disappear during the day and appear during the night). 15 Who move straight and stop. 16 by the night swarming, 17 And the Dawn as it breathes away the darkness;- 18 Verily this is the word of a noble message-bearer; 19 Endued with Power, with rank before the Lord of the Throne, 20 obeyed, moreover trusty. 21 And (O people) your companion (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is not a madman; 22 he truly saw him on the clear horizon; 23 He is not chary of making public what is unknown. 24 And it is not the word of an accursed Satan; 25 Where then will you go? 26 This is certainly the guidance for all (jinn and mankind). 27 (With profit) to whoever among you wills to go straight: 28 And ye will not, unless (it be) that Allah willeth, the Lord of Creation. 29
