The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
When the sun is wound up; 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 the mountains are scattered about as dust, 3 And when the camels big with young are abandoned, 4 when the savage beasts are gathered 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 when the souls shall be rejoined (with their bodies), 7 when the buried female infant is asked 8 For what crime she was killed; 9 And when the Records of Account are laid bare. 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped, 11 And when the Scorch shall be made to blaze, 12 when Paradise is brought near, 13 [then] each soul shall know what it has put forward. 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 the planets that run their course and set, 16 And the close of night, 17 and the morn as it breathes. 18 [That] indeed, the Qur'an is a word [conveyed by] a noble messenger 19 Mighty, established in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 Obeyed (by the angels), trustworthy there (in the heavens). 21 Nor is your companion distracted. 22 he truly beheld him [the angel] on the clear horizon. 23 And he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) withholds not a knowledge of the unseen. 24 Nor is this the utterance of a devil worthy to be stoned. 25 Where to are you then heading? 26 This is nothing but a Reminder to the worlds, 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. 29
