The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
When the sun is overthrown, 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 When the mountains vanish (like a mirage); 3 And when full-term she-camels are neglected 4 When the wild beasts are herded together (in the human habitations); 5 And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; 6 When souls are reunited (with the bodies) 7 and when the girl-child that was buried alive is made to ask 8 For what crime she was put to death; 9 And when the Records of Account are laid bare. 10 And when the heaven is torn away. 11 and when the blazing fire [of hell] is kindled bright, 12 And when the Garden is brought nigh, 13 then shall each person know what he has brought along. 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 orbiting, disappearing; 16 by the night swarming, 17 The rising dawn, 18 Verily, this is the Word (this Quran brought by) a most honourable messenger [Jibrael (Gabriel), from Allah to the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)]. 19 Owner of strength, of established dignity with the Lord of the Throne. 20 obeyed, and honest. 21 And (O people) your companion (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is not a madman; 22 Surely he beheld Him on the clear horizon. 23 he is not grudging of the Unseen. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 Then where are you going? 26 This is a reminder for all the peoples of the world, 27 For whoever wills among you to take a right course. 28 But you cannot will it unless God, the Sustainer of all the worlds, wills [to show you that way]. 29
