Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun shall be wound round, 1 And when the stars shall fall; 2 And when the mountains shall be made to pass away, 3 And when the camels are left untended, 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 when the seas are set boiling, 6 And when the souls are paired. 7 questions are asked about the baby girls buried alive, 8 For what sin she was slain. 9 When the ledgers are laid open, 10 And when the heaven has its covering removed, 11 And when hell is further enflamed. 12 And when the Garden is brought nigh, 13 A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it]. 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 the planets that run their course and set, 16 And by the night as it closes in 17 and the morn as it softly breathes: 18 Most surely it is the Word of an honored messenger, 19 Mighty, established in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 there he is obeyed and held trustworthy. 21 And your companion is not gone mad. 22 he truly beheld [the angel - beheld] him on the clear horizon; 23 Nor of the unseen is he a tenacious concealer. 24 Nor is it the word of the cursed Shaitan, 25 When whither go ye? 26 It is not except a reminder to the worlds 27 For him among you who pleases to go straight. 28 However, you will not be able to choose anything unless God, Lord of the Universe wills it to be so. 29
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
