The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
When the sun Kuwwirat (wound round and lost its light and is overthrown). 1 the stars are made to fade away, 2 And when the mountains shall made to pass away; 3 and when she-camels big with young, about to give birth, are left untended, 4 And when the wild beasts are gathered 5 And when the seas rise, 6 When the souls are sorted out, (being joined, like with like); 7 And when the girl buried alive shall be asked: 8 such as, "For what crime were they murdered?" 9 And when the Writs shall be lain open, 10 and when heaven is laid bare, 11 and when Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when the Garden is brought nigh, 13 Every soul will then come know what it has brought. 14 Rather, I swear by the returning 15 that hide, 16 by the night swarming, 17 and the morn as it breathes. 18 Verily this is the word of a noble message-bearer; 19 [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position], 20 obeyed by (all creatures) and faithful to His trust. 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 He certainly saw him (Gabriel) high up on the horizon in his original form 23 He is not avid of the Unseen. 24 And the Qur’an is not the recitation of Satan the outcast. 25 Where to are you then heading? 26 That is but an advice to the entire creation! 27 to everyone of you who wills to walk a straight way. 28 but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. 29
