The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sun shall be wound round, 1 when the stars shall scatter away, 2 when the mountains shall be set moving, 3 And when milch camels roam abandoned. 4 when the savage beasts are gathered 5 And when the seas are set afire. 6 And when the souls are paired. 7 and when the girl-child buried alive shall be asked: 8 For what crime she was put to death; 9 when the scrolls are unrolled, 10 And when the sky is torn away, 11 And when Hellfire is set ablaze 12 when Paradise is brought close: 13 [on that Day] every human being will come to know what he has prepared [for himself]. 14 So verily, I swear by the planets that recede (i.e. disappear during the day and appear during the night). 15 Moving swiftly and hiding themselves, 16 The closing night, 17 And by oath of the morning when it takes birth. 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 Owner of strength, of established dignity with the Lord of the Throne. 20 obeyed by (all creatures) and faithful to His trust. 21 Your companion is not possessed; 22 He certainly saw him (Gabriel) high up on the horizon in his original form 23 he is not niggardly of the Unseen. 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
