Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the sky is split, 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 when the seas swarm over, 3 And when the Graves are turned upside down;- 4 (Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? 7 In whatever form He willed has He assembled you. 8 Even then you deny the Judgement. 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 Honorable recorders, 11 who know all that you do: 12 Behold, [in the life to come] the truly virtuous: will indeed be in bliss, 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 roasting in it on the Day of Recompense 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
