Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth; 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 Him Who created thee. Fashioned thee in due proportion, and gave thee a just bias; 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day, 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 watching over you 11 and these honorable scribes know whatever you do. 12 Behold, [in the life to come] the truly virtuous: will indeed be in bliss, 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 nor shall they ever be absent from it. 16 And what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. 19
