Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is split asunder, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth; 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O human! What has deceived you concerning your Generous Lord 6 Who created you proportionately and fashioned you 7 In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 aware of whatever you do! 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 The wicked certainly in Hell: 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 nor shall they ever be absent from it. 16 And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 (It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
