Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth; 3 and when the graves are overturned 4 then everyone will know what he has sent ahead, and what he has left behind. 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 And indeed there are some guardians over you. 10 watching over you 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 18 On that day, no soul will be of any benefit to any other soul. On that day, all affairs will be in the hands of God. 19
