Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 O Man! What deceived thee as to thy generous Lord 6 Who created you proportionately and fashioned you 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 whereas, behold, the wicked will indeed be in a blazing fire 14 In which they will enter, and taste its burning flame on the Day of Recompense, 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
