Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven splits open. 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 Illustrious scribes 11 and these honorable scribes know whatever you do. 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 And most surely the wicked are in burning fire, 14 They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense, 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 17 Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 18 It is the Day when no one shall have the power to do anything for another, and all command shall be Allah's. 19
