Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the sky is cleft asunder; 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth; 3 And when the graves are laid open, 4 Every soul will come to know what it has sent ahead and what it left behind. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 Generous and recording, 11 who know what you do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 whereas, behold, the wicked will indeed be in a blazing fire 14 [a fire] which they shall enter on Judgment Day, 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 It will be a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to any other human being, God [alone] will hold command on that Day. 19
Almighty Allah's Truth.
