Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 And when the seas are flowed out, 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 Him Who created thee. Fashioned thee in due proportion, and gave thee a just bias; 7 having put thee together in whatever form He willed [thee to have]? 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, 10 Honorable recorders, 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 The pious will surely be in heaven, 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 On that day, no soul will be of any benefit to any other soul. On that day, all affairs will be in the hands of God. 19
