Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the sky is split, 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 and when the graves are overturned 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 having put thee together in whatever form He willed [thee to have]? 8 Not at all – but rather you deny the establishment of Justice. 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 noble scribes, 11 and these honorable scribes know whatever you do. 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 [a fire] which they shall enter on Judgment Day, 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 (It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
