Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the sky is split, 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 and when the seas burst beyond their bounds, 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 5 O Man! What deceived thee as to thy generous Lord 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 In whatever form He willed has He assembled you. 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you, 10 watching over you 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 and the wicked shall be in the Blazing Fire. 14 which they shall enter on the Day of Judgement, 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 17 Again: what will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 18 A day on which no soul hath power at all for any (other) soul. The (absolute) command on that day is Allah's. 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
