Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 And when the seas are flowed out, 3 When the graves are overturned, 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created you proportionately and fashioned you 7 and composed thee after what form He would? 8 Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day, 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 watching over you 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 Behold, [in the life to come] the truly virtuous: will indeed be in bliss, 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
