۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered, 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 And when the graves are ransacked, 4 every human being will [at last] comprehend, what he has sent ahead and what he has held back [in this world]. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 Him Who created thee. Fashioned thee in due proportion, and gave thee a just bias; 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 The honourable recorders. 11 who know what you do. 12 Verily, the Abrar (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise); 13 whereas, behold, the wicked will indeed be in a blazing fire 14 They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment, 15 and which they shall not [be able to] evade. 16 And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 The day on which no soul will have the authority over any other soul; and on that day, the entire command belongs to Allah. 19
