Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 And when the graves are turned upside down (and they bring out their contents) 4 (Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back. 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? 7 In whatever form He willed has He assembled you. 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 Generous and recording, 11 They know whatever you do. 12 Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure, 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 And will not be able to hide from it. 16 And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 A day on which no soul hath power at all for any (other) soul. The (absolute) command on that day is Allah's. 19
