Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is split asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered, 2 when the seas overflow; 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 Every soul will come to know what it has sent ahead and what it left behind. 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 Even then you deny the Judgement. 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 noble recorders, 11 Who know what you do. 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 And thence they shall not be allowed to be absent. 16 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 17 Again, what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 18 On that day, no soul will be of any benefit to any other soul. On that day, all affairs will be in the hands of God. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
