Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 and when the graves are overturned 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 Honourablel scribes. 11 They know all that you do. 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 And what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 17 Again, what do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
