Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 And the sepulchres are overturned, 4 the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. 5 O man! what hath beguiled thee concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Him Who created thee. Fashioned thee in due proportion, and gave thee a just bias; 7 In whatever form He willed has He assembled you. 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 Surely there are guardians over you, 10 noble scribes, 11 aware of whatever you do! 12 Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure, 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 And will not be able to hide from it. 16 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
