Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 When the seas are poured forth, 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 Every soul will come to know what it has sent ahead and what it left behind. 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, 10 noble, writers 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 And verily, the Fujjar (the wicked, disbelievers, sinners and evil-doers) will be in the blazing Fire (Hell), 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 to burn therein. 16 And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 The day on which no soul will have the authority over any other soul; and on that day, the entire command belongs to Allah. 19
