Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 Who created you then formed your symmetry, then gave you right proportion, 7 and set you in whatever form He pleased? 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 Surely there are guardians over you, 10 noble scribes, 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 Indeed, the righteous shall (live) in bliss. 13 And verily, the Fujjar (the wicked, disbelievers, sinners and evil-doers) will be in the blazing Fire (Hell), 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 And will not be able to hide from it. 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
