Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 the stars are dispersed, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 And when the graves are overturned. 4 Every soul will come to know what it has sent ahead and what it left behind. 5 O Man! What deceived thee as to thy generous Lord 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 Kiraman (honourable) Katibin writing down (your deeds). 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 to burn therein. 16 They will never be able to escape from it. Would that you knew what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 It is a Day whereon no soul shall own aught of power for any soul; and the command on that Day will be Allah's. 19
