Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven splits open. 1 And when the stars become dispersed, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 and set you in whatever form He pleased? 8 Nay! But you deny the Recompense (reward for good deeds and punishment for evil deeds). 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 noble, recording, 11 who know of all that you do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 to burn therein. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again, what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
