Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 the stars are dispersed, 2 and when the seas burst beyond their bounds, 3 And when the graves are overturned. 4 the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 who created you, formed you and proportioned you? 7 In whatever shape He will He could surely have fashioned you. 8 Nay! But you deny the Recompense (reward for good deeds and punishment for evil deeds). 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 Honorable recorders, 11 They know all that you do. 12 Behold, [in the life to come] the truly virtuous: will indeed be in bliss, 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 and then shall never come out of it. 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 It is the Day when no one shall have the power to do anything for another, and all command shall be Allah's. 19
