Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 When the oceans begin to flow, 3 And when the graves are ransacked, 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O human! What has deceived you concerning your Generous Lord 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, 10 Kiraman (honourable) Katibin writing down (your deeds). 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 The wicked certainly in Hell: 14 Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, 15 And thence they shall not be allowed to be absent. 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 [It will be] a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to another human being: for on that Day [it will become manifest that] all sovereignty is God's alone. 19
