The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven breaks apart. 1 hearing and obeying its Lord, as it must do; 2 And when the earth has been extended 3 and throws out of itself all that it contains 4 in obedience to the commands of its Lord which are incumbent on it, (the human being will receive due recompense for his deeds). 5 O human, you are working hard towards your Lord and you will meet Him. 6 So whoever is given his record of deeds in his right hand – 7 will be easy, 8 and they will return to their people, delighted 9 But as for him whose record shall be given to him behind his back; 10 He shall call for perdition, 11 And [enter to] burn in a Blaze. 12 He used to be happy with his own people; 13 Verily he imagined that he would not be back. 14 But he will indeed! His Lord was ever watching him. 15 So I swear by the twilight glow 16 And by the night and whatever it gathers in its darkness; 17 And the moon when at the full, 18 [That] you will surely experience state after state. 19 What is the matter with them? Why do they not believe? 20 And that, when the Qur'an is read unto them, they prostrate not them-selves! ۩ 21 But those who have disbelieved deny, 22 And Allah well knows what they conceal in their hearts. 23 Therefore give to them glad tidings of a painful punishment, 24 except to those who believe, and do righteous deeds, for theirs is an unfailing recompense. 25
