The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 And has responded to its Lord and was obligated [to do so] 2 and when the earth is leveled, 3 and casts out all that is within it and becomes empty; 4 And has responded to its Lord and was obligated [to do so] - 5 O man, you are striving unto your Lord and you will meet Him. 6 And as for him whose record shall be placed in his right hand, 7 he will in time be called to account with an easy accounting, 8 And he will return to his family rejoicing. 9 but as for him whose record shall be given to him from behind his back, 10 He shall call for perdition, 11 And [enter to] burn in a Blaze. 12 He used to be happy with his own people; 13 Verily, he thought that he would never come back (to Us)! 14 Nay, but lo! his Lord is ever looking on him! 15 So I swear by the twilight glow 16 And by the night and all that it enshroudeth, 17 and the moon, as it grows to its fullness: 18 That ye shall journey on from plane to plane. 19 What is the matter with them, that they believe not? 20 And when the Quran is recited to them they do not make obeisance? ۩ 21 No, the unbelievers only belie, 22 Allah knows best what they are accumulating (in their Record). 23 So announce to them a Penalty Grievous, 24 except the righteously striving believers, who will receive a never-ending reward. 25
