The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the sky is rent asunder 1 And it listens to the command of its Lord and that befits it. 2 when earth is stretched out 3 and casts forth whatever is in it, and becomes utterly void, 4 And it listens to the command of its Lord and that befits it. 5 O Man! Thou art labouring unto thy Lord laboriously, and thou shalt encounter Him. 6 Then as to him who is given his book in his right hand, 7 He shall be reckoned with by an easy reckoning, 8 and shall return to his people joyfully. 9 But as for him whose record shall be given to him behind his back; 10 He will cry out for destruction 11 and will enter the Blazing Fire. 12 Verily he was among his people joyous. 13 He assumed that he does not have to return. 14 Yes indeed; his Lord had sight of him. 15 So by oath of the late evening’s light. 16 And by the night and that which it driveth together, 17 and the moon when it grows full, 18 [even thus, O men,] are you bound to move; onward from stage to stage. 19 So what is [the matter] with them [that] they do not believe, 20 Why, when the Quran is recited to them, do they not prostrate themselves? ۩ 21 But those who have disbelieved deny, 22 And Allah knows best what they hide, 23 Wherefore announce thou unto them a torment afflictive. 24 Except those who believe and do good; for them is a reward that shall never be cut off. 25
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
